5 Tips to Keep Yourself Motivated
It’s often been said that starting off is the easy part but staying motivated is difficult. This also applies to new year’s resolutions (which may seem like a distant memory at this stage). If you have successfully made it through January with your resolution, kudos to you! If you haven’t, never fear – it’s a new month, a fresh start, and the perfect opportunity to start again! So, whether you’re starting from scratch or building on last month’s progress, we’ve compiled some tips to keep you motivated throughout February.
- Track your progress to see how far you’ve come
It can be difficult to keep yourself motivated when it doesn’t feel like you’re making any progress. Having little reminders of how far you’ve come can be the best motivator to see how far you can go! We recommend documenting your progress every week, so you can look back on this when you feel you’re not seeing any improvements. This progress doesn’t just need to be inch loss, it could be the distance you walked, or even new exercises you tried!

- Reward yourself!
We can become so focused on improving ourselves, that we forget to reward ourselves for how far we’ve come. It's important to treat yourself for reaching your goals! A treat does not need to be junk food, it could be a spa day to celebrate reaching a big goal, a new shirt to celebrate reducing your waistline, or even just taking time to relax!

- Prioritise your time
One of the main reasons people lose motivation is because they don’t have time to exercise or eat healthily. But think about it, how often have you told yourself you don’t have time for a thirty-minute walk and then spent thirty minutes (or two hours) watching television? Most of us are guilty of this one! To avoid this, plan out your day and schedule time to exercise and prepare healthy meals.

- Be patient – consistency is key!
